Nigerian alternative artist Lady Donli has released a new single titled Hello Lady.
Donli, alias “Miss Cheerful Giver,” had teased the new single in a video she shared on Twitter, while revealing it was the first single off her much anticipated sophomore album, Pan African Rockstar set to drop sometime in 2023. Hello Lady follows Donli’s most recent drop, Soft Life, the scintillating sample of Ruff, Rugged and Raw’s hit single from 2005, Wetin Dey, which she released three years after her debut album.

Donli’s newest release, Hello Lady, follows her signature feel good music style as she sings about a hottie on a night out. The new track, set against the backdrop of wavy beats features groovy drums and guitars that make you want to get up to dance.
With its catchy “hello lady, hello lady” chorus, Lady Donli taps into her inner sexy for this song, delivering smooth lines on every verse. Produced by JMS, LMBSKN and Yung D3mz, Hello Lady features an interesting fusion of highlife band beats and Donli’s signature cool kid vibe.
Hello Lady offers a sneak peek of what to expect from Donli’s 2023 album. If this new single is anything to go by, the incoming Pan African Rockstar will be another step forward in solidifying Lady Donli’s position as one of the hottest artists on the alté scene currently.
