Tributes come in different forms but one thing they always have in common is how they lead to a baring of the heart. Swag rappers like Nasty C and YCee’s music often touches on their relationships with significant others and living the life many aspire for, however, on UOK Nasty shows he is capable of altering the subject matter to more relevant topics. The track which is a tribute to his mother who passed in a car accident when he was less than a year old is followed up with reflective visuals which see the Durban-bred rapper appreciate chart his growth and acknowledge his mother being in a better place.
The video for the track off his 2016 album Bad Hair Extensions was shot in Cape Town and directed by Emilie Badenhorst.
