Very few can boast the same progress Odunsi has since he decided to professionally begin creating music less than two years ago. In 2017 particularly, he has seen his star shine brighter than most would have imagined so early on in his career. After opening the year with Desire, a collaborative effort which saw him join Tay and Funbi, he went on to release War EP alongside Nonso Amadi before releasing a stream of experimental sounds via the Friday Cruise Soundcloud page. The New Age poster boy now looks to consolidate his position with, In The Morning, his second single of the year and from the look of things off his debut LP to most likely be released in 2018.
In The Morning sees Odunsi team up with DOZ of the 8 O Sounds production outfit which also houses Higo who boasts credits on Desire and Situationship and Andy Madjitey, who directs the video. On the record which sees Odunsi introduce himself as an artist under Universal Music’s Nigerian Branch, his artistry culminates as he continues to push the boundaries and opts for a sound it’s impossible to place within the confines of any single genre.
