Eight years after its founding, Wafflesncream is enjoying its greatest publicity ever with features from CNN, Hypebeast and the like over the past year while the traditional Nigerian media continues its trend of failing to articulate the stories of locals. The latest win for Wafflesncream stems from a visit to Lagos by Red Bull photographer, Tyrone Bradley, who captured the growing community of skateboarders and Bmxers around Africa’s most populous city.
The skate brand who released its first short film, Jide in the second half of 2016 has also recently opened its first skate shop in Lagos which is located in Victoria Island in Lagos and shall continue the progression with their first ever Skate Jam on the 21st of June, worldwide Go Skate Day.
