Rema has been in the industry for barely a year and already the rapidly rising boundless star has racked more awards, garnered more international affiliations, features and chart-topping singles than his contemporaries have. His boyish charm and afro trap twist have earned him a place on international planes and along with his team, he’s not relented in capitalizing on these affiliations that peak this month in a 5-track Remixes EP of his world-famous hit, Dumebi.
From Becky G and Matoma; whose versions were earlier released, Dumebi is used as a colorful prop and culture unifier for Major Lazer, Jarreau Vandal, Jayceeoh and Henry Fong, an elite assortment of some of best DJs and Producers across North America and Europe.
Each group delivers a sprightly mix of the Ozedikus produced track, individualized but still retaining its originality. Purposefully, the remixes serve as portals for Rema to dance into unknown dimensions where these artists are revered.
