Off a breakout year only the greats can relate with, Rema has become one of the continent’s brightest pop stars with the weight of one of the most trusted record labels behind him. Speaking with Zane Lowe ahead of the release of new single Beamer (Bad Boys) Rema shares his belief in himself to be a martyr of some sort for his generation in navigating the road to afrobeat becoming a genre that holds weight in the world music market.
Produced by Jamaican producer Rvssian, Beamer (Bad Boys) sees Rema weave a story about being completely bought in with a love interest and being completely ready to do whatever necessary for her around the said lover’s vocals as she declares “bad boys like you, ooh yeah, i like bad boys like you.”
