As international players have begun to flood the NBA, the world’s foremost basketball league continues to look for ways to cut across and break new markets with its product. For its all-star game halftime show this year, the league opted to highlight African music with performances from Rema, Tems and Burna Boy who were supported by The Outsiders.
The show kicked off with Burna Boy who opened the show with Anybody and It’s Plenty before passing it on Rema who thrilled the crowd with Calm Down and his latest single Holiday.
Grammy winner, Tems then took the stage where she performed a medley of Crazy Tings, Free Mind, Essence, and Higher before ushering Burna Boy back on stage to close out the show with Ye and Last Last.
