Riky Rick Brings Davido and Gemini Major Into The Fold on ‘Murdah’

Rap music often suffers from a lack of commercial success, particularly in Nigeria. Down South, while rap is more widespread and often dominates on the charts, some of the techniques employed by Nigerian rap royalty to win ears over the radio are being implemented as Riky Rick brings Malawian born producer, Gemini Major and Nigerian pop star, Davido into the fold on Murdah.

Off Rick’s recently released Stay Shining EP, the pop track features a Davido hook and verses from Gemini Major and the South African rapper and is ultimately just a feel good record without any dominant narrative.
