With Davido’s collaborative collection with Orange Culture, conversations about the continuing relationship of music and fashion in the Nigerian scene were sparked. While the musician’s collection was one of the first times we saw a Nigerian artist release his own line, brands like Sanusi Lagos had already begun to put fashion and music in conversation with their pieces since 2013.
Their latest collection tagged Against All Odds features windbreakers, hoodies, sweatpants, shorts, and a variety of jackets. The brand which started off as a means of channeling a new lifestyle features Lanre Ladenegan (Fresh L), Donald Ofik (Pretty Boy D-O), Jilex Anderson, Laila Johnson and Sabrina Bella in its new lookbook.
