Borno State Governor, Alhaji Kashim Shettima has set the date of May 29th 2016 as a deadline by which it is hoped that internally displaced persons (IDP) in the state will be returned to their homelands after their relocation and rehabilitation.
He also made a call for special treatment from the Federal Government over Adamawa and Yobe claiming “We have had 20 local government areas affected while Yobe and Adamawa has had between two to six each, Borno is the far worst affected and we are sure justice will be acorded to Borno and to all States affected.”
