Meet Favour Omokafe, an entrepreneur who has carved a niche for himself in the media and entertainment industry in Nigeria and Turkey. He currently holds the position of co-founder and creative director of 3 established businesses; Get-Branded-Media, a branding company, New-Era-Promotions, an event and promotional company and 555 Opulence, an apparel company.
A native of Delta State, Favour found his way into entrepreneurship in 2012 as a graphics artist/designer who was later spotted for his talents by Mavin Records, one of the biggest record labels in Africa. There, he led top-notch branding projects that received numerous awards. Favour, popularly known as Flip Graphix, has come a long way; branching into the fashion world and launching a streetwear collection 555 Opulence in 2021. The brand quickly garnered the attention of fashion influencers and notable celebrities like Davido, Patoranking, Tiwa Savage, Reekado Banks, Tiwa Savage, Peruzzi, Oxlade, Onyekuru, Virgo Deep, and Dianz.
On making the switch from music to fashion, Favour says,
“One of my reasons for going into fashion is because my creative journey started with designs and illustrations. I am truly proud of how much my brand has grown in the past year and it is great to see it dominate the streetwear fashion scene among the black communities in Turkey.”
Favour, who is inspired by world business leaders like Jeff Benzo, Elon Musk and Nusret Gökçe, has recently expanded his apparel company across major African cities. He has also launched 555 Opulence’s first tracksuit collection ‘Terrene.’ Released on 22 April to commemorate world earth day, some of the proceeds from the collection will go towards commissions of community development projects in various cities to educate people on environmental protection.
“Terrene collection transcends beyond fashion, the deeper message is to remind people of the importance of the earth, the ecosystem and the importance of caring for the earth as it cares for us and how we can do our part to protect the environment,” he says about the new collection.
Favour is also passionate about aviation and has his graduate degree in the view from Civil Aviation from the Istanbul Aydin University, Turkey. He hopes to fly his plane soon. When the businessman is not working, he enjoys sporting activities, travelling and spending time with family.
