Fast-rising London-based Nigerian rapper, $tevoxcv has been recording music since he was 16. Now in his twenties, he has developed a unique sound described as a cocktail of Hip-Hop, Pop and Afro beats. After releasing his debut project Untold Stories in 2020 as well as two rap records Long and the critically acclaimed David Meli-assisted Hypnotized the following year, the rapper is starting off the new year right with a new single titled Life.

On the deep and intimate single Life, $tevoxcv — real name Steve Okolo —  shares stories from his past with a sprinkling of motivational bars over the wavy production by Midasmidi x Lenox. $tevoxcv shows off his storytelling skills as he reflects on his worst days and best days in the short and punchy verses. Life also addresses the rapper’s personal experiences like imposter syndrome, adulting, success, and dreams.

Talking about the new single, $tevoxcv said,

“‘Life’ is a reflective and vulnerable record where I speak on issues ranging from self-reliance to trustworthiness and my desire for success. It was created at a down point in my life, where I was dealing with a lot of doubt and not knowing what the future holds. I still do not know what the future holds, but I am in a much better space now, especially as I have got the opportunity to share this record with the world.”
