Fast-rising Nigerian-born London-based rapper, $tevoxcv has released a new single titled Paper Chase.
Paper Chase comes as a follow-up to the critically acclaimed In Deep and Hypnotized (featuring David Meli) released earlier in 2022 and in 2021 respectively. The single which is off his forthcoming tape Nights in Gidi is characterized by a wavy beat, a chain of entertaining rhymes, and lyrics that highlight the inability and unwillingness of one to fall in love.
Produced by BMN STILL, one unmissable element on Paper Chase is $tevoxcv’s storytelling dexterity as he reflects on his worst days and best days in the short and punchy verses. For the rapper, Paper Chase is also an avenue to address personal experiences such as trust issues, adulting, and success. Speaking on the new single, $tevoxcv said, “Paper Chase is a reflective and vulnerable record where I speak on issues ranging from trust issues to difficulties in finding true love and also my ever-burning desire for success.”
For $tevoxcv born Steve Okolo, the deprivation of the finer things in life he sings about in Paper Chase is due to a determination on the part of the artist to be financially stable, prior to letting his guard down and completely embracing his emotions. It also briefly touches on the lifestyle and daily struggles of the artist as a young individual.
