After a long week at work, all you want to do is relax and be taken care of. That’s why we have decided to make things easy for you by creating a list of the Nigerian movies available in cinemas and on Netflix.

Check out the three Nigerian films to watch this weekend:

Lockdown

Directed by Moses Inwang, this Nollywood movie tells the story of six strangers trapped inside a hospital after the Federal Government orders an immediate lockdown of the building following a pandemic outbreak.

The cast include Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, Sola Sobowale, Tony Umez, Deyemi Okanlawon, Ini Dima-Okojie and Josh 2 Funny.

It is currently showing in cinemas.

Mamba’s Diamond

Described as an action-comedy, the movie follows two amateur thieves who set out to steal a car but end up accidentally stealing the world’s most valuable diamond. Discovering their mistake, they face threats from a scary crime lord in the city and her deadly gang.

The star studied film features first time producer Williams Uchemba, Nse Ikpe-Etim, Nancy Isime, AY Makun, Gabriel Afolayan, and veteran actors Ejike Asiegbu, Sam Dede.

It is currently showing in cinemas.

Gold Statue

Written and directed by the veteran filmmaker Tade Ogidan, the movie follows the adventures of two young men in search of an ancestral undiscovered gold statue.

Gabriel Afolayan and Kunle Remi have lead roles. The supporting cast includes Sola Sobowale, Richard Mofe Damijo, Norbert Young, Alibaba Akpobome, Segun Arinze, Kelvin Ikeduba, Kunle Fawole, Yvonne Jegede, Bisola Aiyeola and Rycardo Agbor.

After enjoying a good run in cinemas in 2019, the heist film is now available on Netflix.
