Johnny Drille gave a soulful rendition of his ode to fathers Papa on NdaniTV’s NdaniSessions which is witnessing some kinda resurgence. Before the performance, the singer explained how a conversation with his dad as he prepared to leave Benin for Lagos inspired the song. “I can remember my dad precisely telling me, ‘not to forget where I’m coming from, not forget family and always remember to come for Christmas, and no matter how hard life got in Lagos, always remember I have a family waiting for me.”
