The 66th Grammy Awards took place last night with the most number of Nigerian artists nominated. Although it ended with no Nigerian artist winning an award, it was still a significant moment in the journey to dominating the music industry worldwide. Aside from music, Nigerians also known for their style and extravagance pulled up to the Grammys Award carpet looking fresh and dapper. In this, we highlight a couple of artists and Grammy looks.

Ayra Starr

The country’s number one sabi girl came dressed in her signature style of short and body flattering outfits. In a custom beaded blue chiffon two piece created by Jeniece Blanchet and Candice Cuoco, Ayra Starr exuded an ethereal presence that has been tied to her brand as a celestial being.

Burnaboy

Being the first Afrobeats artist to perform on the Grammy Awards stage, Burna Boy treated the audience to a spectacular performance of his hit songs On Form, City Boys, Sitting On Top Of The World with Brandy and 21 Savage. His appearance was fit for the moment, as he was styled in the iconic 3.Paradis AW24 piece.

Asake

Mr Money with the vibe has consistently shown off as a fashion-forward artist, with his popular palazzo pants and nonconformist style. At the Grammys, he took a more understated look in a flawless head-to-toe black ensemble.

Davido

The 3-time nominee showed up to the award show dressed in a classic suit piece, topped off with a bow tie. The artist’s style was elegant in his suit jacket sporting a  fine print detailing and structure.

Fireboy

Although Fireboy and Asake were dressed similarly in a classic all-black suit, Fireboy elevated his look with a flower imprinted shirt that brought some texture to his dapper style, and a lovely use of accessories like hair beads.
