In the earlier days as an artist, two understated but extremely important factors are consistency and versatility. It’s easy to share one record that gets people’s heads turning but to do it and repeat it is notable. Zarion Uti has continued to do it quietly sharing bops over the past two years. Building on Silent featuring Odunsi and Jilex Anderson, Uti’s latest release, Signal sees the Atlanta based singer stray from the more soul leaning music he’s frequented as he goes afropop on the Telz produced effort.
A feel-good record that’s easy to follow, the mid-tempo afro-pop leaning number is a testament to Zarion’s vast skillset.
