No fewer than 120 Nigerians have recorded major financial wins through NIVEA Nigeria’s ₦3 billion National Consumer Promotion, which concluded a few months ago.
The nationwide campaign rewarded consumers with instant airtime, shopping vouchers, cash prizes, ₦5 million grand prizes, brand-new SUVs and all-expense-paid trips to Spain to watch Real Madrid live next season. More than two million consumers received remarkable rewards during the promotion, which attracted participants from diverse backgrounds, including students, entrepreneurs, young professionals and families.
Speaking about his experience, Oladipupo Demilade, a student at Caleb University, said he was too surprised to believe he had emerged as one of the SUV winners. Having purchased NIVEA Cocoa Lotion and Roll-On as part of his regular routine, he entered the promotion with little expectation after scratching the code.

Accompanying the surprise of the win has been a new level of convenience in his daily life. The vehicle has made it easier for him to move around campus, eliminating many of the transportation challenges he previously faced. He said the prize has also given him greater confidence as he prepares for life after university.
Another winner, Joy Onwuarikaije, who received one of the campaign’s ₦5 million cash prize, said she initially dismissed the notification as a scam, citing the prevalence of fraudulent messages. It was only after verifying the authenticity of the call that she accepted she had won. The prize has given her greater financial flexibility, allowing her to invest in herself and expand her business.

The two are among hundreds of winners drawn from different walks of life, including students, entrepreneurs, young professionals and families, who benefited from the nationwide promotion. While some received instant rewards and shopping vouchers, others won cash prizes, SUVs and all-expense-paid trips to Spain.

Although the grand finale ceremonies in Lagos, Abuja and Port Harcourt have since concluded, many winners say the rewards continue to have a lasting impact. Beyond the financial value of the prizes, several described the campaign as memorable experiences that transformed just random purchases into enduring personal milestones.
