Kah Lo first showed up on our radar 18 months ago with Rinse and Repeat, the first of three collaborations with British DJ and producer, Riton. Since then, Betta Riddim, a Grammy Nomination and Money have elevated the singer’s star both in the Nigerian music scene and across the world. Very often, following success of individual tracks, artists switch to their game faces and project mode. We can assert that phase has kicked in for Kah-Lo as she releases her debut single, Fasta and continues to work on her first body of work.
Similar to most of her previous work, Fasta is an electronic dance record and sees Riton deliver on the production front. In contrast to Betta Riddim and Rinse and Repeat however, vocals from someone else feature other than Kah-Lo feature significantly on the record.
With lines like “let me see you move to the beat of the drum” and “there’s a new dance in town” over the uptempo and catchy beat, we expect a video shall teach us the moves we need urgently to wholly vibe with Kah-Lo.
UPDATE
The video is here. In what is essentially a testament of the brand of effortless cool embodied by Kah-Lo, we witness her decked out it in some shiny garms while displaying her fresh off the playground moves.
