With influences that span a diverse and elite range of veteran artists including Fela Kuti, Sunny Ade, and Ebenezer Obey, eclectic up and comer, Noir is top on the list of the new school of artists drawing on the roots of legends who came before them in a bid to create a sound that hinges on nostalgia and character. Following the release of his acclaimed debut, he aims to move several rungs up the ladder to fame with another worthy romantic cut, Comfortable, a dewy ode to a muse who takes center stage in the accompanying video.
Teaming up with Ademola Falomo for winnow-y and minimalist video that centers on the syrupy relationship he sings about, Comfortable is a refreshing addition to Noir’s discography.
As he celebrates the love interest in his life, insisting she shouldn’t remain comfortable in a situation that isn’t fulfilling her needs, he shows off the eclectic vocal range and futuristic ambiance shared in debut, Down For It. Comfortable is also a promising introduction to his forthcoming project release.
