Inkblot Productions have released the official trailer for The Set Up, their upcoming, star-studded drama. Adesua kicking ass, Jim Iyke being the charismatic bad boy that wooed us all in the 2000s! We are here for it all. And then there is the sweet cinematography of Mohammed Atta Ahmed, who conveyed visually the message of gloom in the underseen Light in the Dark.
A few weeks back, we saw a 1-minute teaser of the Niyi AKinmolayan film, but it had no dialogue so it was hard to figure the film’s direction. Now we have an idea. Watch the trailer below.
The Set Up tells the story of Chike (Adesua Etomi Wellington) a young drug smuggler who gets more than she bargains for and is drawn into a web of deceit when she is hired by a socialite (Jim Iyke) to assist with his scheme to marry a wealthy heiress (Dakore Egbuson Akande). Things quickly take a turn for the worse as she realizes that there is more to the scheme than meets the eye.
The drama, penned by Naz Onuzo (Out of Luck & The Arbitration), is a sumptuous affair with a promise of strong performances from its star-studded cast which includes Tina Mba, Joke Silva, Ayoola Ayolola, and Kehinde Bankole.
The film is the tenth film of Inkblot Productions and the latest in a series of films between them and Akinmolayan, who also directed The Arbitration, Out of Luck, and the second installment of The Wedding Party.
The Set Up will be in cinemas nationwide from August 9.
