Shaybo Dictates Her Worth In Relationships On Haile-Assisted ‘Friendly’

Shaybo is taking no prisoners this year. Her sturdy single run inclusive of the very audacious and empowering Broke Boyz is proof of this and in her usual can-do demeanor, the self-dubbed Queen of the South, returns this month, blazing a fiery trail as usual on Friendly.

Shaybo ditches two major elements in her daring but lovable persona on the Haile-assisted Friendly: her South-London-inspired lyricism, opting instead for a Rastafarian’s colorful vocabulary. Also, she retracts her claws, donning a less menacing persona in a bid to communicate on the same level with her muse.

Haile’s lush chorus and the single’s title might indicate Shaybo is cheery on Friendly, but on the contrary, she’s still brazen and brash in delivery.
