Toyin Ores and Lami Share ‘Okoto’ Off Upcoming Joint Project

In a Nigerian music scene that is often characterised by unhealthy competition as opposed to constructive collaborations, it’s always interesting to see acts on the rise embracing each other and working together. For Toyin Ores and Lamii, the mentality is one of being stronger together as they work towards the release of a joint EP tagged Summer in the Valley that is expected to be released in July. Releasing the first single off the EP, Okoto, the pair suggested it’s only a show of what can be expected.

Speaking to Culture Custodian, they said:

The upbeat single is only one side of a multifaceted EP, as we shall explore our chemistry across a broad range of genres.

Okoto and Summer in the Valley are an extension of a working relationship between the two artists that has already resulted in a multitude of features.
