Custodian Fashion Police: Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards Edition

Posted on

2015’s Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards took place on March 8th at Eko Hotel in Lagos, Nigeria.

Many celebrities were present at the event and obviously some slayed while some did not live up to expectations.

Feyikemi Akin- Bankole and Tomi Idowu have taken a look at the outfits from the evening and made some fashion judgements. Feel free to disagree.

Worst Dressed.

Alex Ekubo, Denrele Edun and Vonne Vixen
Alex Ekubo, Denrele Edun and Vonne Vixen

What’s with Alex Ekuno and the rubix cube/ candy crush blazer? Denrele doesn’t stray from his normal absurd dressing and its not easy to guess what he’s meant to look like. Vonne Vixen, its the AMVCA’s not your secondary school’s prom. Color, style, hair, NO!

Susan Peters, Kendra Divine and Adunni Ade

Is Susan Peters meant to be an angel knock-off, mosquito net or curtain?. Kendra Divine, shows an unacceptable amount of cleavage and does not look like the fairy she intended on being. After Seyi Shay’s criticism for this kind of outfit at the CHOAMVA’s its interesting that Adunni Ade can show up in this. Extremely appalling.

Best Dressed.

Busola and Timi Dakolo, Femi Jacobs, Noble Igwe
Native Affair: Busola and Timi Dakolo, Femi Jacobs, Noble Igwe

Femi Jacobs, Timi Dakolo, and Noble Igwe were some of the Best Dressed on the day as they stepped out in Traditional attires.

Toke Makinwa and Stephanie Coker

Toke slays in her elegant and simple dress. The mixture of nude and white just makes her Harvella Styles outfit look perfect. Stephanie Coker simply looks like an angel in her Frankie & Co dress.

Osas Ighodaro and Gbenga Ajibade, Jeremiah Ogbodo, Ini Edo
Blood Red: Osas Ighodaro and Gbenro Ajibade, Jeremiah Ogbodo, Ini Edo

Ini Edo copied Lupita’s look but that does not stop her from looking beautiful! Osas also steps out looking sweeeeet with her partner, Gbenro Ajibade. Jeremiah Ogbodo shows how to wear the color red!

Black Beauties: Dolapo Oni and Beverly Naya

Dolapo Oni and Beverly Naya are the perfect examples of simplicity being the ultimate sophistication. Beverly Naya stepped out in a Reiss jumpsuit while Dolapo was styled by Elvira Jude. They both dress simple but look extremely classy.

Ebuka Obi- Uchendu, Fade Ogunro, OC Ukeje, Diana Yekinni
The Blue- Blooded: Ebuka Obi- Uchendu, Fade Ogunro, OC Ukeje, Diana Yekinni

Blue seems to be the new black. Ebuka came out in a Cloth Sense suit and his almost invisible bow tie is a first. Fade showed up in a Tiffany Amber dress and was styled by Ify Onyido while Diana Yekinni showed just how beautiful black is in her Sisiano Paolo dress.

Eku Edewor, Genevieve Nnaji, Annie Idibia.
Color Splash: Eku Edewor, Genevieve Nnaji, Annie Idibia.

Annie Idibia was styled by Teju Foyeh and her lemon sequin piece matched with her accessories ensured her flawless look. Nice choice by Eku following her not so fabulous first look. She was dressed in a CLAN piece and styled by Bubu Ogisi. To simply put it, Genevieve was the best dressed on the night despite her extremely simple yet cosmopolitan look. Genevieve’s gown was by Elvira Jude and she was styled by Veronica Odeka.
