Burna Boy’s rise has been less than linear, partly caused by his inability to take to the UK and connect with fans due to some legal issues until last year. In the short time his travels have been unhinged, Burna has captured the Nigerian diaspora in the UK delivering regular performances. Over the weekend, Burna spread his tentacles to the US launching a North America tour tagged the Outside Tour, in promotion of his late 2016 EP, Redemption EP and in anticipation of his upcoming project with a performance at the PlayStation Center in New York City.
The show initiated with a performance from Swizz Beatz before Burna was introduced with a live band to back him up. He was also supported by Jidenna who delivered a performance in-between Burna’s two sets while DJ Tunez and Swiss Beatz remained on stage while Burna thrilled the crowd.
