Maleek Berry’s contribution to the first single off Goldlink’s coming project wasn’t one we envisioned seeing as they’re not a team with imaginable synergy but true to the latter’s words to Zane Lowe, the decision to combine varying sounds was a much-needed one that has yielded a potential summer anthem. Now with the track reigning on our playlists, Goldlink, Maleek Berry and Bibi Bourelly are a team for the ages.
The hypnotic video which combines the strength of two Nigerian industry giants in Meji Alabi and Maleek Berry sees Goldlink power a rager with chopped bars, quick rhythms and the latter’s intoxicating chorus. Though Bibi Bourelly is noticeably missing from the intense video, the pair of Maleek and Goldlink are able to piece the amazing scenes together with sensual performances.
Goldlink’s recent infatuation with Nigerians and our sound comes as no surprise to us seeing as we’re practically sitting on a gold mine of talent and we hope his inclination yields more projects that will put us on the global map.
